Deadline for absentee voting in Shelby County, Tennessee looming
If you are a registered voter in Memphis, Tennessee (Shelby County) and you will not be home on Election Day (November 4), you can still get an absentee ballot by mail.
1) Use the Voter Registration Lookup to confirm you are already registered and see the precise information on file. Your Request Form must match it exactly. If you can't find yourself, call the Shelby County Election Commission, Voter Registration.
2) Download the Absentee Request Form.
3) Print it.
4) Fill it out.
6) Fax it to 901-545-2999. You can also mail it in (see Absentee Request Form).
They must receive your request by Monday, October 27, so faxing is the best method at this point. Then they must receive the ballot by mail by 7pm Election Day.
